A bit (more) about me
Coming from a Korean American household, I've always wondered how my friends ate dinner with their families or if they would wear shoes in their home. I was just genuinely curious and wanted to understand why people did things the way they did.
I studied painting and printmaking at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I was drawn to the ability to control what someone sees and to direct their attention through a flat surface. What fascinated me was how intention-driven decisions could create a layered experience out of something so flat.
That same intention drives how I approach design. Whether I'm maintaining design systems or creating new interaction patterns, every decision is in service of how someone will behave or feel. I'm drawn to solving problems that require thinking about entire ecosystems and their constraints, ones that leave someone genuinely better off.
